Link activities to your plan

Match a run to the right workout, move one that matched the wrong workout, join split activities, keep extra training, and clear duplicates.

When an activity comes in, Athelista tries to match it to a planned workout. If it can't be sure, you link it yourself. A linked activity marks the workout done, and your coach sees it.

How matching works

An activity is matched on its own when it's on the same day and the same sport as a planned workout. If there are two workouts that day, it picks the one closest in distance or time, but only when one is clearly closer. A walk never completes a planned run on its own.

Link from Recent

On Today, an unmatched activity in Recent says "not linked".

  1. Tap Link to plan ›.
  2. Pick the workout from this week that it was for.

Or tap Keep as extra training if it wasn't for any planned workout. It stays in your history and totals and stops asking.

Link from the workout

Did a workout on a different day, or recorded it in parts?

  1. On Today, tap the day of the workout in the week circles.
  2. Tap Link activity.
  3. Pick the activity. You see unlinked activities from the last 2 weeks.

Did your warm-up, main set and cool-down as separate activities? Athelista joins them for you: runs on the same day within 3 hours of each other go to the same planned run. The biggest one is Main, earlier ones Warm-up, later ones Cool-down (or Extra, for example strides after an easy run). If it got one wrong, link it yourself, then use the Part menu next to each to mark it Warm-up, Main, Cool-down or Extra. Tap + Add another part to add more. Your coach sees them combined.

To unlink, tap the unlink button next to the activity. If nothing else is linked, the workout goes back to planned.

Matched to the wrong workout

  1. Open the workout it was matched to.
  2. Tap the move button (two arrows) next to the activity.
  3. Pick the workout it was really for, from a week either side. Or tap Keep as extra training if it wasn't for any planned workout.

The first workout goes back to planned (or missed, if its day has passed), unless you marked it done yourself. Moving onto a workout that's already done adds the activity as an Extra part. Tap Undo on the message to put it back.

Duplicates

If the same session comes in twice, for example from Garmin and an uploaded file, Today shows Possible duplicate under the things that need you. Tap the one to keep. The other is removed so your week adds up.

Good to know

  • An activity can be linked to one workout at a time. Linking it somewhere else moves it.
  • A cancelled session can't have activities linked.
  • Your coach can link and unlink activities for you too.
