Your coach may write gym loads as a percentage of your one-rep max, like "Squat 5 × 5 @ 75%". Save your 1RM and Athelista shows the actual weight for you.
What is a 1RM?
The most you can lift once with good form. If your squat 1RM is 100 kg, 75% is 75 kg.
Save your 1RM
- Open Progress › Stats.
- Find the One-rep max (1RM) card. It lists the lifts in your plan that use % 1RM.
- Type your 1RM next to a lift and press Enter (or tap outside the box). It saves straight away.
Clear the box to remove it. Each row shows who set it and when.
The card only shows when your plan (from 8 weeks back to 4 weeks ahead) has % 1RM loads, or you've saved a 1RM before.
Where your weights show
Once saved, % 1RM loads show your own weight on Today and Plan when you open the workout steps. Loads round to the nearest plate: 2.5 kg or 5 lb.
kg or lb
Use the kg | lb switch on the card. It changes your weight unit everywhere in the app, the same as Account › Units & time.
Good to know
- Your coach can also set your 1RM. The latest entry wins, whoever made it.
- Test a new 1RM with your coach's guidance, and update it after a test so your loads stay right.
